ABSTRACT: Investigating the role of early childhood education in enhancing human rights education aims to foster a culture of respect for human dignity and rights from a young age. This study explores how early childhood education programs contribute to human rights education. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's understanding of human rights principles, (2) evaluate the integration of human rights activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in community attitudes towards human rights issues. A survey design is chosen to systematically collect data on educational impacts on human rights awareness. A purposive sample of 120 children aged 4-6 years, engaged in human rights education programs in Cross River State, ensures relevant experiences. The case study focuses on an early childhood education center known for its human rights advocacy initiatives. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's understanding of human rights principles, effectiveness of human rights education activities, and positive changes in community attitudes towards human rights. Recommendations include integrating human rights education into early childhood curricula and fostering partnerships with human rights organizations to promote children's rights advocacy.
